Persons interested in enrolling in Young Minds of C3S must consider the following guidelines when applying for membership:

• The basic rule is you must be interested in China!
• Members must be students or graduates of undergraduate/postgraduate degrees/M.Phil/Ph.D degrees.
• Members are welcome from any stream of study.
• The group Young Minds of C3S, while channeling youthful energy into the strategic community, must be willing to maintain adherence to certain codes of conduct.

These include:

• Avoiding topics not pertaining to China. However comparisons may be made or parallels can be drawn between China and other countries on various aspects.
• Avoiding using unparliamentary language at all times.
• Refrain from using Young Minds of C3S to engage in political activities of any kind.
• Maintaining decorum and decency during the proceedings.
• Not using Young Minds of C3S as a platform for any unethical or illegal activities.
• Not using Young Minds of C3S as a platform for any commercial activities.
• Members must attend meetings regularly. If three meetings are missed in a row, then it will lead to automatic disqualification. However those outside Chennai can join Young Minds in their online group discussions. A Google group has been setup, to which members are added. Online discussions will also be in tandem with the above guidelines.

If the above codes of conduct are not met, members are subject to disqualification.
